We’re excited to announce that we’ve teamed up with Uniting 2 Serve to bring our first-ever Karaoke Contest to Dallastown American Legion Post 605. This is a new kind of event for the Post. High energy, community-focused, and built to be fun while supporting a good cause.
The Karaoke Contest takes place on January 31, 2026, with doors opening at 5:30 PM and the contest starting promptly at 6:00 PM. Food and drinks will be available throughout the night, and the event is open to members, guests, and the community.
How It Works
This is a true competition, not open-mic karaoke. Contestants will compete across three rounds, with eliminations each round.
Round 1: Contestants choose their song at registration. Songs are prescreened to keep the event family-friendly. You’ll perform a 30-second snippet and be judged on singing ability. The top 50 percent advance.
Round 2: We choose the song. It will be obscure, and contestants are judged on adaptability to lyrics and tune. The top three move on.
Round 3: Contestants perform a song of their choice and are judged on overall stage performance. This round is decided by the audience.
Prizes
1st Place: Brand new karaoke machine
2nd Place: $100 gift card
3rd Place: Refund of entry fee
Attendees and Entry The cover charge is $5 per person. Members of Post 605 get in free with a valid membership card. Come watch, cheer, and help decide the final winner.
Volunteers and Sponsors We’re also looking for volunteers and sponsors to help make this event a success. Volunteers receive free entry in exchange for their help. Sponsorships directly support operating and prize costs so that proceeds can be maximized for impact. Registration links will be used for both.
This event is about bringing people together, trying something new, and strengthening partnerships that serve our community. Mark your calendar, warm up those vocal cords, and plan to be part of a fun night at the Post.
